Important notes
- The feed in to your Outlook calendar will need to be refreshed each year at the beginning of September. To do this, unsubscribe and then re-subscribe.
- You will be importing an ‘internet calendar’. If you do not have Outlook, you should be able to find instructions on the internet on how to import an ‘Internet Calendar’ in to your preferred calendar app.
- The timetable will import as a separate calendar. You can ‘overlay’ this with your personal calendar but it will not show on your personal calendar as an event and therefore indicated you are ‘busy’.
Steps to import
Open Notepad and copy and paste the following URL in to Notepad: https://timetable.yorksj.ac.uk/CalendarService/default.aspx?StudentIcal&p1=
After the = sign add your student ID number, so it looks like the following example: https://timetable.yorksj.ac.uk/CalendarService/default.aspx?StudentIcal&p1=01234567
Make sure there are no spaces between the = sign and your student number.
Now copy this new URL that includes your student ID number.
Next open Outlook calendar
On the left of your screen, scroll down to ‘Other Calendars’ and right-click
Click ‘Add Calendar > From Internet
- In the box paste your URL and click OK.
