If you can’t find your course when you apply for Student Finance on the Student Finance website, try these steps.
Check you’re in the right funding section
Some courses appear on the Undergraduate section on the Student Finance website, even if you think they should be on the Postgraduate section. Look in the Undergraduate section for your course if you are studying one of these:
• Integrated Masters
• Postgraduate Initial Teacher Training (PGCE)
• Postgraduate Healthcare Courses
• Pre-registration courses
Check the course name
Make sure you type out your course name exactly as it appears on the York St John University website when searching for the course on the Student Finance website.
You can tell full-time, part-time, foundation year, and placement year versions of courses apart because these labels appear at the end of the course name (e.g. ‘BA (Hons) Accounting and Finance with Foundation Year’).
Check your country of domicile
If your home address is in Wales, Scotland, or Northern Ireland, you might not see your course because the nation-specific version of the course has not been created yet. If this is the case, contact dataquality@yorksj.ac.uk so a separate course can be set up for you.
