What happens if a taught session is postponed?
Taught sessions should only be postponed as:
- a last resort, and
- usually in the event of staff illness or similar unforeseen circumstances
and where appropriate cover cannot be implemented.
Students can expect to receive a notification by:
- a text message to their phone (if time allows)
- an email to their University account mailbox
- a sign on the door of the room where teaching had been planned to take place. Please note, where time is limited, this may sometimes be the only notification that is possible.
The University will always strive to give as much notice as possible.
Will the session be rearranged?
Students can expect to be contacted by the School or the Programme Administration and Support Service (PASS) team with details of the new arrangements.
