Student visa expiring before the course end date or graduation / Visa wrap-up period expiring earlier than expected
Student visa expiring before the course end date
Occasionally, the UKVI may issue a visa that does not cover the full length of the course dates stated on the CAS. This is an admin error by the UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) and it must be reported to them for rectification.
There may also be cases where a Student visa is expiring before the course end date due to some resits taken, and so the Student visa would need to be extended.

Student visa wrap-up period expiring earlier than expected
The Student visa wrap-up period is the period of leave granted after the course end date.
For courses that are 12 months or longer, the visa wrap-up period should be 4 months after the course end date that is stated on your CAS.
If your wrap-up period was issued for less than 4 months and is expiring earlier than expected, this may be an admin error by the UKVI, which may need to be corrected.

Student visa expiring before graduation
If your Student visa expires before you graduate, and it’s not because you were issued with the incorrect visa length or visa wrap-up period, you may need to leave the UK before it expires and apply for a Standard visitor visa to return and attend your graduation.
