How to find your academic adviser / tutor
Academic advisers / tutors are here as your point of contact for support academically outside of your module leads. They are a good point of contact if you wish to discuss academic concerns or queries including attendance, understanding, for example. Please do contact module leads if it is a module specific query.
Please be aware that academic tutors will be assigned at the end of week 2.
MyYSJ app access
Please follow the steps below to access your timetable via the MyYSJ app:
- STEP 1: Download and open the MyYSJ App. Please check the help page in our IT support section on how to download the MyYSJ App.
- STEP 2: Sign into your YSJ account by clicking ‘Access your personal dashboard’. (If you are already signed in on the MyYSJ app, please skip to step 4)
- STEP 3: Sign-in using your YSJ email and password.
- STEP 4: Open the app to your dashboard page. The app should automatically open to this page if you are signed in.
- STEP 5: Click on ‘e:Vision’.
- STEP 6: Log in, if, you need to, and open your dashboard page. This should be the page when you first log in.
- STEP 7: Scroll to the bottom of the page. Your academic tutor should be listed in the ‘my academic tutor’ section. If your academic tutor is not listed, please submit a case through the Student Hub online portal and we can tell you who your tutor is - your academic tutor may change in the future if your modules change. We can provide you with your tutor’s email address for you to contact them directly.
e:Vision online access
Please follow the steps below to access your timetable via e:Vision online.
- STEP 1: Open e:Vision: https://evision.yorksj.ac.uk/
- STEP 2: Log in, if you need to, and open your dashboard page. This should be the page when you first log in.
- STEP 3: Scroll to the bottom of the page. Your academic tutor should be listed in the ‘my academic tutor’ section. If your academic tutor is not listed, please let us know and we can tell you who your tutor is - your academic tutor may change in the future if your modules change.
