There is strong evidence linking exercise to mental health; therefore, we are offering a structured exercise programme as an alternative to our 1 to 1 support.
This 6 week course of exercise classes is for YSJ students facing mental health challenges (e.g., depression, anxiety, stress). The classes will be facilitated by colleagues at YSJ Active, who are trained fitness instructors, with support from Mental Health Practitioners from the Wellbeing team.
Students will be offered an assessment of their mental health prior to the course and a follow up appointment with a Mental Health Practitioner to consider next steps.
Classes will be on Wednesdays 11-12 held on our Lord Mayor-s Walk site and can be accessed by completing this self-referral form
