Lost and stolen passports
If you are a sponsored international student and have a lost or stolen passport, you must report this to:
- Your nearest local police to get a police report
- Your nearest country embassy
- York St John University Visa and Compliance team by submitting a case through the Student Hub online portal - please attach your police report
You must also ensure that you get guidance on how to make a new passport application from your embassy
Expired passports
If your passport is about to expire, or has expired, must ensure that you contact your nearest embassy to get guidance on how to make a new passport application.
Once you obtain your new passport, please update the UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) by as soon as possible by completing the Migrant Change of Circumstance form. You can either complete the pdf form and post it to the address stated at the front page of the form, or you could complete the form online.
When completing the form, you must additionally provide the following details for your new passport:
- New passport number
- Place of issue
- New issue date
- New expiry date
Please also ensure that you submit a case through the Student Hub online portal with an attachment of the passport ID page of your new passport. Please make sure to state your full name and student ID number in the subject heading of your email.
New UK address, contact number or email address details
If you are a sponsored international student and have a new UK address, contact number or email address please update your E:vision account with your new UK address and contact details as soon as possible.
You must also update the UKVI as soon as possible by completing the Migrant Change of Circumstance form. You can either complete the pdf form and post it to the address stated at the front page of the form, or you could complete the form online.
