Library & Learning Services provides you with access to a range of resources to support your assignments and your learning.
During your studies, you will use:

- journal articles.
You might use:
- financial, company and market data
- television, film, plays, music and scripts
- news
- legal sources and commentary
- other primary sources including historical records
- Policies, and
- Other specialist information, such as maps.

Every module has a reading list which is made up of books, articles, and other resources. Your lecturer will mark
- reading that you need to do as -Essential-, and
- reading that would be beneficial as -Further-.
You can access your reading lists from each Moodle module page or from the library homepage.
Finding books
You can access printed books from our York and London campuses, and online ebooks from wherever you are.

Finding journal articles
Journal articles are short specialist research articles that you will be expected to read and use in your assignments. Library & Learning Services subscribes to over 92,000 different journals about all academic subjects.

Finding specialist information
During your degree you will likely need to go beyond books and journal articles, and use a wider range of information sources appropriate for your subject and your -assignments. In addition to providing you with access to our focused journal databases, our Specialist Subject Resources area gives you access to over 300 specialist resources, databases and other information sources, to help you achieve in your assignments.
