The Specialist Support team offers individualised advice and guidance to students with any of the following characteristics:
Care leaver and estranged students
Student carers
Trans & LGBTQ+ students
Asylum-seeking students
Mature students and student parents
Students with experience of the criminal justice system
Students from minoritised ethnicities, including Gypsy and Traveller communities.
Students from military families
As well as 1-to-1 support, the Specialist Support team also run events and awareness-raising campaigns throughout the year. There are also a number of funding support options available to all students, such as the Student Support Fund and Alumni-funded Scholarships.
