How to report maintenance issues and request repairs
When you live in University accommodation or University Managed Houses, where you report maintenance issues will depend on your type of accommodation.
Maintenance issues in York St John University halls of residence
Please report any maintenance issues to the Repairs team by emailing mailto:repairs@yorksj.ac.uk. Please include:-
- your full name
- your accommodation details
- a contact number for yourself, and-
- a detailed description of the maintenance issue

Maintenance issues in University Managed Houses
We provided you with resources on who to contact before you moved into your University Managed House accommodation. We work with many different landlords, so if you have forgotten who to contact please submit a case through the Student Hub online portal and we can provide you with this information.
Maintenance issues in University Managed Houses - IG Property houses
If your landlord is IG Property, then you can report all maintenance and repairs requests to IG Property via their email address: admin@igproperty.co.uk. You can also report this via the PropertyFile app, which you should have had access to shortly after you have moved in.
